Kualifikasi Pelamar

What skills and experience do you need?

·      Bachelor degree in Metallurgy or relevant engineering discipline and a minimum of ten years in the mining and mineral processing industry in a supervisory level position is essential;

  • Proven track record in technical project evaluation, management and control is essential;
  • Proven knowledge of mineral processing, particularly in grinding and base metals beneficiation techniques is essential: Technical knowledge of mining/processing processes and systems; Broad understanding of geology, mining and processing technical issues and operating processes/systems;
  • Certified of Competency for Frontline Operational Supervisor of OHS and Mine Environment from DEMR;
  • Demonstrating company values and holding others accountable for doing the same; Influence, impact and motivation (up, down and sideways through organization); Leading and developing others; Aligning plans with safety; Applying continuous improvement tools; Proven team work and proactive independent work ethic; Highly organized and proactive team player with ability to multi-task and coupled with a sense of urgency and ability to get things done; Strong analytical skills with sound of judgement and decision-making ability; Superior interpersonal skills and an ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are essential.

Deskripsi Pekerjaan

Some of your duties will include:

·      Responsible to directs and plans the activities of the Plant Upstream & Downstream area, and also assist in other cost and revenue improvement activities as directed by the Senior Metallurgist

·      Act as Metallurgist member of the Metallurgical and Technical Process Group supporting and coordinating with the operational team in safety practices, operational aspects as directed by the senior Metallurgist and covered by the metallurgical and technical services group.

·      Position physical responsibility boundaries of this role include primary crusher, OLC + Tripper, SAG Mills, Ball Mills, Pebble Crushers, Pebble Screens, Cyclone Feed Pumps, Hydro-cyclones, flotation feed distribution box, rougher/scavenger flotation, regrind and polishing mill, cleaner flotation circuit, column flotation circuit, CCD circuit, reagent mixing facilities, filter plant, concentrate shipment facilities, SWTP, stockpile oxidation controlling. Within the boundary also includes the Expert Control system. 

·      The position incumbent is expected to work closely with Senior Metallurgist and related Senior Process Operations personnel to: provide daily operational support to assist in identification, investigation, and implementation of production and cost improvements. 

·      Upstream interactions will be required with Mine Engineering, Geology and operations personnel for ore body characterization and recovery/concentrate grade modelling and forecasting. Downstream interactions will be required with the Marketing and Finance Department in regards to concentrate shipment schedule and issues related with concentrate quality.

·      Cross department interactions will also be required with the SCM Purchasing for equipment parts tracking and with Contract Support for contracted project related services.

·      As directed by Senior Metallurgist, manage the work directly with the Metallurgists, Shift Metallurgists, and Senior Process Operations personnel in Crushing and Grinding Optimisation. This includes but is not limited to:

·      Daily monitoring of Primary Crushing, SAG and Ball Mills, Pebble Crusher, and Classification circuit performance, flotation feed distribution box, rougher/scavenger flotation, regrind and polishing mill, cleaner flotation circuit, column flotation circuit, CCD circuit, reagent mixing facilities, filter plant, concentrate shipment facilities, SWTP, stockpile oxidation controlling;

·      Troubleshooting plant performance issues;

·      Monitor plant sampling and particle size split on-line analyser equipment performance after primary crushing and prior to primary grinding. Calibration to ensure acceptable accuracy of the units. Work with relevant groups to rectify any identified issues or implement improvements;

·      Conducting circuit test work and plant surveys in the crushing, milling, and classification circuit to quantify impact of potential or initiated changes within the circuit;

·      Identify, investigate and recommend circuit optimization opportunities and initiatives for implementation via Process Operations and Maintenance as appropriate;

·      Assist in implementation of operational and capital initiatives as required by Process Operations and Maintenance

·      Complete grinding modelling and simulation studies using JK Sim Met when required

·      Develop liners configuration, track their usage, stock inventory, and deliveries

·      Develop Hydro-cyclone configuration, track their usage, inspection, stock inventory, and deliveries.

·      Analysis of plant and mine operating data to identify potential opportunities for revenue improvement and cost savings initiatives.

·      Other duties as assigned.
