Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef De Partie with a passion for Nusantara cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of Nusantara cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation. As a Chef De Partie, you will support the Sous Chef in preparing and presenting dishes that adhere to our restaurant’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of Nusantara dishes. Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
Quality Control: Ensure that each dish meets the restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation, and portion size. Conduct regular checks for quality and freshness of ingredients.
Ingredient Management: Handle and prepare ingredients, focusing on authentic Nusantara spices and produce. Assist in managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards. Assist in the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment and utensils.
Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely food preparation. Communicate effectively with team members and support a collaborative work environment.
Creativity: Contribute to menu development and specials by suggesting new ideas or improvements based on seasonal ingredients and guest feedback. Help create innovative presentations for traditional Nusantara dishes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chef De Partie, Demi Chef, Commis Chef, or similar role in a high-quality restaurant or kitchen, with a focus on Nusantara or Indonesian cuisine preferred.
Strong understanding of Nusantara cooking techniques, ingredients, and traditional dishes.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Culinary school degree or relevant certification is a plus.
